An Evening with Writer Laila Lalami
Nevada Humanities presents “An Evening with Writer Laila Lalami” on Friday, January 27, 2017, at 6:00 pm, at Sundance Books and Music, in Reno. The evening will feature Lalami in conversation with Ragini Tharoor Srinivasan, Assistant Professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno. Audience members will be invited to participate in a question and answer session with Lalami, followed by a reception and book signing. Lalami’s latest book, The Moor’s Account was both a nominee for the Man Booker Prize and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. The program is free and open to all.
This program is produced by Nevada Humanities and is part of the Pulitzer Prizes Centennial Campfires Initiative, a joint venture of the Pulitzer Prizes Board and the Federation of State Humanities Councils in celebration of the 2016 centennial of the Pulitzer Prizes, and is supported by the Pulitzer Prizes Board and the National Endowment for the Humanities, in collaboration with the Andrew W.
