Join Nevada Humanities at Sundance Books and Music on Friday, September 15, at 6:00 p.m., for our September Salon, “Poetic Justice: Environmental Activism and Protecting Cultural Resources.” Moderated by Dr. Carlos Mariscal, assistant professor in the Philosophy department at the University of Nevada, Reno, the Salon will feature a diverse panel of voices discussing regional land and water rights, and the motivations for environmental protections. The Salon will feature: Olivia Romo, the 2017 Nevada Humanities Poet-in-Residence, and an outreach coordinator at the New Mexico Acequia Association; John E. Hadder, Executive Director of Great Basin Resource Watch; and Autumn Harry, an environmental steward and activist. The Salon will include audience discussion and light refreshments.
