The Churchill County Museum presents historian and photographer Steve Davis in their fall lecture series called "Pictures of the West: Film, Television, Photography and Print". 

The public is cordially invited to this free event. Find out what elements make up thie unique and proud tradition of Nevada and the West as portrayed through film, television, photography, and the media. Refreshments will be served.

The fall lecture series is also offered as one credit of continuing education through the Nevada Department of Education. Teachers must pre-register.

Steve Davis is a historian and documentary photographer living in Reno. He has documented the changing nature of agricultural and open lands in northern Nevada, as well as in Minnesota and California. His entire photographic archive has been acquired by Special Collections at the University of Nevada, Reno for their permanent collection. Steve loves the Great Basin and travels its deserts and mountains as often as possible.
