Give Back on Giving Tuesday

By the Staff of Nevada Humanities

Giving Tuesday is coming up on November 27, and Nevada Humanities invites you to participate and help us meet our goal of $5,000. You will have the chance to unite our community around causes you believe in and to help a nonprofit organization, like Nevada Humanities, connect with the greater good that comes out of Nevada.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s Giving Tuesday will take place on November 27 and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.

Join other Nevadans on this day of giving as part of Giving Tuesday, and support the work of Nevada Humanities.

Did you know in 2017 Nevada Humanities:

  • Reached over 916,000 Nevadans statewide through our programs and events like The Salon series, the Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl, the Great Basin Young Chautauqua program, the Las Vegas Book Festival, and Humanities on the Road.

  • Honored seven exceptional Nevadans with the Nevada Humanities Award.

  • Educated nearly 192,000 people worldwide on our Online Nevada Encyclopedia (ONE) resource.

  • Partnered with over 100 Nevada organizations and agencies to bring you creative educational and cultural programming through Nevada Humanities grants.

Want to be a part of this? Mark your calendar and give to Nevada Humanities as part of Giving Tuesday on November 27. We are counting on your support to continue to share these uniquely Nevada events and programs statewide in 2019. Follow the day and tag your support at #GivingTuesday.

Our statewide work fosters cultural enrichment and connection for all Nevadans. Support Nevada Humanities as part of the Giving Tuesday campaign and help us reach our goal of $5,000, which we will use to engage, educate, and connect Nevada’s diverse communities and cultures. #GivingTuesday @NVHumanities
