Nevada Humanities connects and transforms communities by sharing and amplifying the stories, ideas, experiences, and traditions of the diverse people of Nevada.
Since 1971, Nevada Humanities has created and funded programs that use the humanities to illuminate our diverse histories and experiences to chart a path forward in changing the world. With offices in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada Humanities’ statewide work articulates the Nevada experience, features local culture and heritage, and encourages intellectual curiosity.

Every year, Nevada Humanities and its partnership programs reach more than one million people, host over 500 events, provide grants to 50 nonprofit organizations, and create dozens of networking opportunities. Purchase a Limited Edition Seeing><Saying Portfolio
In celebration of the Las Vegas Book Festival Nevada Humanities has partnered with Test Site Projects, a fine art publishing house, to curate and produce a limited edition print portfolio of collaborative works pairing Las Vegas-based literary and visual artists. The artistic pairings include: Sam Gilpin and Sean Slattery; Oscar Oswald and Daniel Habegger; Lolita Hernandez and Marcus Civin; Vogue Robinson and Lance Smith; and Erica Vital-Lazare and JK Russ. The serigraphs created during these collaborations were featured in the exhibition Seeing><Saying at the Nevada Humanities Program Gallery in Las Vegas, as part of the 2018 Las Vegas Book Festival’s Illustrated Word exhibitions.
Fifteen limited edition portfolios of the Seeing><Saying serigraphs are available for purchase for $1,000 each. Each portfolio contains the six artworks included in the exhibition and is signed by the artists. The serigraphs are printed on museum quality, Rives BFK 100% cotton paper. All proceeds from the sale of these portfolios and prints will support ongoing programs at the Nevada Humanities Program Gallery and the Las Vegas Writes project.
