Wonders of Nature: Sound Topographies and Listening Deeply Outdoors with Fil Corbitt

In this workshop, we'll close listen to a collection of audio clips recorded in several different locations. Though we often think of soundscapes as a monolith: "the sound of wind" or "the sound of rain", there is often so much more that reflects our unique surroundings in that moment. The goal of this workshop is to dissect audio elements, and begin to cultivate a sharp ear for the world around us.

The audio clips we'll listen to can be found on Fil's website HERE. (no need to download beforehand, we will listen to them together during the workshop)

Recommended Supplies:
Note taking supplies (paper, pen)
Headphones
A somewhat quiet room (probably not best in an airport)
