Humanities at Play: Storyteller with Emma Frances Bloomfield

  • Twitch twitch.tv/humanitiesatplay (map)

Why do controversial narratives stick, and how can we effectively counter them through storytelling? How do we strengthen science communication and make stories more inclusive and engaging? These are just some of the questions we’ll explore in this Humanities at Play stream with Emma Frances Bloomfield, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Join us as we create cohesive stories and effective narratives together in the game Storyteller, discuss her new book Science v Story: Narrative Strategies for Science Communicators (University of California Press, 2024), and for an interactive Q&A and conversation. Audience participation is welcome and encouraged!
