Creating narratives through her watercolor compositions, Colleen Reynolds hopes viewers will relate to her pictorial stories through their own experiences. CCAI’s exhibition, Watercolor Stories, opens in the Community Center’s Crowell Board Room Monday, March 7, and continues through June 29, 2022. Capitol City Arts Initiative will host an artist’s reception on Wednesday, March 23, 5:00 – 6:30 pm, with the artist’s introduction at 5:30 pm.

Colleen Reynolds said, “I feel the best paintings go beyond mere rendering and provide a narrative of the subject’s place in the bigger picture of life. Whether depicting figures, landscapes, birds, or flowers, each composition has a story to tell and that ultimately the compilation of the works on exhibit become a self-portrait of the artist holding the brush.”
