One Small Step

Nevada Humanities is honored to partner with KUNR, Noticiero Móvil, and StoryCorps to bring an important program to northern Nevada. One Small Step brings two people together with different ideological views, for a conversation. Participants get to know each other in a safe space and find common ground while speaking in English or Spanish. 

One Small Step conversations are a chance to break the ice: to talk about who we are as people, what we care about, and our dreams for the future. 

Let’s bridge America’s divides, one conversation at a time. 

KUNR is looking for residents of northern Nevada and eastern California to sign up for One Small Step.

Let’s Talk: Participants volunteer their time for a 50-minute conversation of active listening—this is not a political debate. Come ready to share your experiences and perspectives; no research or other preparation is needed.
