Nevada Humanities presents Beyond the Fence: Artwork by Robin Stark, an exhibition of artwork inspired by artist Robin Stark’s exploration of Nevada’s deserts, on display from September 4 – November 24, 2026 at the Nevada Humanities Program Gallery in Las Vegas. Stark is based in Las Vegas and has spent decades exploring and experiencing Nevada’s wide-open spaces, quality of intense light, big blue skies, and the solitude and quietness that is found in Nevada’s vast landscapes. This exhibition is the creative cumulation of her desert exploration. The exhibition includes ceramic sculptures of birds and snakes, painted wood panels and photographic transfers with ceramic components of bird silhouettes, and pieces of ceramic barbed wire.
Join us on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, for the exhibition reception and artist’s talk with Robin Stark. The reception will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, and the curator’s talk will begin at 6:00 pm.
