Join Nevada Humanities, the Orvis School of Nursing, the College of Liberal Arts, and the Lilley Museum of Art on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Harlan O. & Barbara R. Hall Recital Hall and Lilley Museum of Art, as we celebrate the use of the humanities for healing in healthcare. This program is free and open to the public.
Dr. Shirley Stephenson, an advanced practice registered nurse from the University of Illinois Chicago, is known for her work through poetry and the health humanities with people often marginalized from the healthcare system. The evening will open with a reception and mingling, continue with a reading of Dr. Stephenson’s poetry in the Harlan O. & Barbara R. Hall Recital Hall, and conclude with a curatorial walk through the Lilley Museum.
