Humanities at Play: Puzzles and Puzzle Day Activities with Jodi Jill

Meet Puzzle Day and Puzzle Month founder Jodi Jill on Saturday, December 20, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm PT! Focusing on fun, her message is shared with millions of people every year as they are inspired to share and play their favorite puzzles. She has been promoting puzzles for these two events she created for over 30 years. Highlighting education and participation, she offers a fun perspective on puzzles for kids and adults.

For Puzzle Day 2026 she has included new puzzles for families to download and enjoy. Focusing on fun, she highlights different ways to play traditional puzzles as well as new puzzles to play.

During this informal conversation hour, participants will have the chance to learn more about the power of puzzles, free resources for parents and educators, repurposing puzzles, and how to get involved in celebrating Puzzle Day and Puzzle Month in January 2026.

Jodi Jill is the founder of Puzzle Day and Puzzle Month. These fun events, which started from a personal passion, have been held yearly for over 30 years. She shares her puzzle love on her special day freely with over 110 million people celebrating in 2025. A professional puzzle maker and puzzle enthusiast, Jill is found talking about puzzles to classrooms, conferences and online. She is humbled that her passion of puzzles has brought smiles to other puzzle loving enthusiasts around the world.

Jodi Jill has created thousands of word search puzzles and word games along with dozens of jigsaw puzzles. She currently is developing an eco-friendly way to recycle and reuse old jigsaw puzzles with her Second Chance Jigsaw Puzzle Craft Templates Kits and Craft Books. Before tossing your old pieces, she has developed a way to repurposing pieces with easy-to-use templates for kids that ultimately make arts and crafts while keeping puzzles out of landfills.
