Join us for an afternoon of conversation and music with author and musician Willy Vlautin at the Brewery Arts Center Ballroom on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. No registration required - this event is free and open to the public.

Vlautin’s book The Horse was selected by Nevada Humanities, home of the Nevada Center for the Book, to represent the state at the annual Library of Congress National Book Festival that will be held in Washington, DC on September 6, 2025. Every year Great Reads from Great Places, a list of books representing the literary heritage of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and Northern Marianas, is distributed by the Library of Congress’s Center for the Book during the National Book Festival.

This event is supported by the Brewery Arts Center and is made possible with the support of the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Chief Officers of State Library Agencies.
