John Arsenault teaches secondary English in Reno, Nevada and volunteers with Reno Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) to help young adults experience the outdoors. He has advocated for student centered mental health and education for over 20 years. He instructed for Outward Bound Wilderness and numerous adventure organizations around the country, but now he enjoys camping with his wife and son whenever they can. He writes occasionally as a way to challenge his mind, practice his art, and be creative. He wishes to see a vibrant human created arts community that celebrates all the benefits of creative expression. “I hope to see you on the trail and challenge you to develop your own adventurous haiku ideas.”
